Hi, I am Ditka! This is the story of my trip to Berlin to see Michael! It was a week I will never forget!
I will not go in to much details about our 2 days traveling with bus from our country Bulgaria to Berlin only few days after we learned that Michael will go to Berlin to recieve a "Bambi Awards"...It was all so quick and such a mess that I forgot my jake at home and I had to buy on fast on the bus station! I also had to lie my father, cause I have a lot of problems with him about Michael....so I had to tell him that I'm at a friend's house and my girlfiend Kremi had to take a vacantion from her work /she is a babysitter/ with a risk to lose her job! But we didn't care about anything! We were missing Michael so much, we haven't seen him for 3 years /since Muchen'99 on the "MJ & Friends" concert/! We did a quick shoping for a presents for Michael and his children and were all exited and nervous, cause it's never sure with Michael and he can cancel the last minute! We went to 2 trips before where Michael canceled and it was a real nightmare..we were so afraid that it will happen again!

So we were in Berlin exocted from the long traveling on Sunday night /17 November 2002/ , cause there was a rumour that Michael will come on Monday. We had already the adresses of the cheapest hostels /from Internet/ which are close to the hotel where Michael was rumored to stay - "Adlon"! But we couldn't find the closest and it was already dark, so we went to another a bit far! We checked our e-mail at the hostel and learned that Michael will come on Thusday, so the next day we searched for the other hostel that was 15 minutes far from "Adlon" walking and we went there! When we went to Michael's hotel we were looking for some MJ fans and we saw 4 girls walking around, but later we saw that they were waiting for Bryan Adams, who came out of the hotel! We also saw that there was so much police on the street and we thought: "O, o there is something....may be Michael is coming already..!!", but later we found out that Robbie Williams was there to present his new album! There were more reporters than fans and cause we were the only forigners there 6 TV stations and newspapers came to teke an interview from us and they were all trying to make us look like Robbie fans, hoping to make a positive report about him, but we were telling them all the time that we are here for Michael and he is the real king! I wish the journalists were so positive about Michael!!!
When we came back to our hostel we wrote a letter to Michael, that we started in our bus and put it in our present for him! We Prepared our bags for the next day, shower and some beauty stuff that girls do and we went to bed all exited about the next day! |
And here the most important part! I'll write where we saw Mchael day by day:
19 Novemeber:
We were waiting for Michael to arrive in 14.00 o'clock infront of his hotel! We met some friends from the Net and were so worried cause there were a lot of reporters and no police! I was so mad at the reporters cause I know how they will put their cameras in Michael's face! We, the fans had to stay behind the barriers and they were alowed to go everywhere! Next to me were 2 reporters really nasty! I was preparing to smash their cameras when Michael comes! They were talking in Cerman, thinking that I don't understand /but I do..ha ha/! they were imitating our vocies, saying "Fuck me Michael, please! Yeh...me too!" O my..they were so nasty! Then close to us came the camera of the MJ haters TV-RTL and I started yelling at them to be carefull what they will say about Michael this time and to stop with their ugly lies and not go all over him when he comes, cause they will scare him! They were pissed of and the man behind the camera said: "I won't eat him!"! What a Moron!....
When Michael's car came it was a real nightmare! The bariers were down and everyone was arond him, trying to touch him, especualy the reporters sticking their cameras in his face! Soon there were so many people that I thought they are going to kill him! I was so scared and started screaming "Leave him alone!", beating the reporters and pushing their cameras away, trying to make way for Michael! I was VERY scared! I saw Michael's back very close when he was almost entering the hotel, but I decided not to go after him and push, cause he had already too much stress from all of us! Later when I saw on the photos that he was laughing I was so surprized! I quess he is use to all that and for me this was the first time and after it I cryed and yelled at the paparazi in their cameras! One of my friends thought that I was crying, cause I couldn't reach to Michael, but the reason was that I was so worried about him!
A little bit after Michael arrived in the hotel he showed himself on his window! He looked so happy to see us and showed us his new baby son Blanket! It was so great! Like we were his familly and he wanted to share his joy with us!
Later he came out with his car and we all went all over and stoped the trafic! The police people were scared! I think they never saw something like that before! Michael gave autographs to some fans from his window, but I only manage to see his eyes very quick /he was wearing a mask/! That was the closest I saw him till then! O...those beautiful eyes!
Michael went to a music shop very close to the hotel, but we didn't know that at that time and we decided to wait for him outside in the garage! Till me decide what to do Michael came and went out again to a dinner. When he came back we saw him in his car! It was very light inside cause there were cameras..I think someone was taking interview from him! He was dressed in red and so BEAUTIFUL!
After that we waited to see Michael going from the back to the front of the hotel till 3.00 o'cock in the morning and then went to our hostel freezing from the cold outside! Took a hot shower and a few hours of sleep! The moon was full, as always on our MJ trips! |

The happiest day in our lifes:
20 November
We dressed the warmest clothes that we had and went to Michael's hotel around 9 o'clock! We screamed and sung with the other fans! You can hear all day long: "Sony Sucks!" "Fuck the press, Michael is the best!" "I'm proud to be a Michael Jackson fan" "Don't beleve the stories from the paparazi!".....
We were going from the the back of the hotel to the front and again all day long, trying not to miss Michael if he comes on the window or leaves the hotel!
Aound 14.30 Michael's car came out of his garage! This was the best moment in our lifes! First I saw him inside while he was taking with the fans on the other side of the car! I knocked on the window of the car and Michael looked at me and waved! He was so sweet! I was holding a present for him in my hand and screamed: "Michael, please take the present!" Than the car went on the road but I saw that Michael opened his window when he heard me and I run trying to reach it! My girlfriend was right after me! And then.....O, my! I gave him my present and stood there looking right in to his eyes! And I couldn't say anything...I was mesmerized from his beauty! He was so perfect...amazing! I felt like I was blessed! Incredible! He was looking in to my eyes too... curious! Than Kremi scraemed "Michael you are so beautiful!" and he hid himself as he does when he is shy and said "Thank you!"...so sweet...he was so sweet!...
Kremi said she saw Michael's son Prince in the car but I was too hipnotized too look away! The car went away and Michael visited the Zoo with his children, but we didn't know that cause no one told us and we just waited for him to come back! He came in about an hour late rbut went quick inside in the garage! I think he was scared for his children, because there were to many fans ouside! We went than again on the front of the hotel where Michael showed seleral times on his window! |
The same night:
Everyone was saying that Michael will not go out anymore this night but we wouldn't give up so easy and I had an inside feeling we will see him again this day! We were waiting outside in the garage, meeting some great MJ fans and talking while around 23.00 Michael's car went out moving next to us fast to somehwere but we didn't know where! Later we understood he went on the "Bambi Charirty Gala". Some fans that were "insiders" khew where he was going and followed him while we had no chouse but to just stay and wait for him to come back! We were just about 15 fans sitting and talking while after 40 minutes Michael's car came back to the garage! We all run like crazy after the car and Michael opened his window and screamed "I Love you!". I am a very slow person but when it comes to Michael I always seem to be first to reach his car! Ha ha! Michaels car had to stop before entering the garage for some barier! I was right there, next to Michaels window looking at him and we all started to through presents through the window of the car! Then Michael started laughing like a little child and saying "Yayyy!" Someone gave him a kandy in a form of a heart that they eat in Germany and he said: "Wow, a Valentines gift!" I was so shoked of Michaels voice! It sounded like from another planet! I also put my present in the car /that was for Prince/ and Kremi put in the present for Blanket! I was there ...few inches from him and so wanted to touch him but couldn't get a courage for this! There was this amazingly handsom, good looking man and I was feeling so much respect for him! He signed few autographs and his car had to go! Later I realized that his car went through my feet, but I didn't feel anything at that time! Ha ha!
Later that night Michaels bodyguard named Mike came on the enterance of the hotel to talk with the fans and collect the presents that we have for Michael. He told us the name of Michaels new sweet baby boy is Blanket! We gave him our present for Paris, a big beautiful doll cause it was heavy to carry all this time! We also gave him a beautiful painting with children faces that Kremi did! It was a present for Michael. We went back to our hotel about 3 o'clock in the morning with almost no time to sleep.

The Night Of The "Bambi Awards":
21 November
We came to the hotel at about 10 o'clock. Michael didn't go out of the hotel during the day but he showed a lot at the windows of his appartment in the hotel. We were running all day long from the front to the back of the hotel trying not to miss him if he goes out on the window or with his car out of the garage. It was a funny picture seeing the fans running from the back to the front in every signal that Michael showed himself on the window. We missed him few times but you can't be in the both places all the time. We made friends with one very nice man of the security of the hotel who was telling us if Michaels car is inside and if he hears when he will go out!
Few Hungarian fans were invited in Michaels room to meet him because he liked very much their banner that he saw from his window! They showed themselves together with Michael on the window! It was a very special moment in their life I am sure! Something they will never forget!
Most of the fans went to wait for Michael where the "Bambi Awards" would be but we decided to wait for him to see him when he goes out of the garage leaving for the awards! We were not many fans left! Michaels car went out about 19.00 o'clock and we started running after it! The car was with dark windows so we had to get close to it to see inside! As always I was the first to reach to it and when they had to slow down I had a great chance to see Michael! He was so elegant and gracefull in his seat! I knocked on the window and he looked at me and smiled! Then he looked at me again like if he recodnized me from somewhere, pointed at me and said to the person next to him: "That girl....!" That was all I could read from his lips cause the car speeded away! It was such an emotional and happy moment for me knowing that I was in his mind even for a seconds! Ahhhhhhhh!
After Michaels car went out we couldn't find a taxi for some time and when we finaly did we took it with some other MJ fans and were nervous that we will miss Michaels arrival at the awards. When we finaly were there we heared the screams of the fans and we knew then that Michael is there, but we couldn't see him! He was up in the building and there was a lot of security. Only the fans who were there hours ago and had taken their places had the chance to see Michael. We tryed some tricks. tryed to reach to the up of the building through the parking under it but we were thrown out by the security... So we understood that we will not be able to see Michael on the awards and we took the metro together with some friends /German fans/ to go back at the hotel and wait for Michael when he gets back!...

Around 23.00 o'clock Michael came back from the awards
It was a big mess and I ended up helping out MJs security to protecting the fans from hurting themselves while they were surrounding Michaels car! It was really carzy with so many people pushing that I was afraid someone will get hurt so I was in the middle of it screaming: "Be carefull kids, stop pushing!"
At that time Kremi was far from me but she got the chance to see Michael up close in a moment she will always tresure in her heart! I will tell you her story as she told it to me: In all the crazyness she got somehow pushed on the front window of Michaels car! In the front seat was Michaels bodyguard /Mike/ and his driver! She saw behind the bodyguard someones back and when he turn around it was...Michael staring right at her! A magical moment that made her so happy! She said he looked kind of scared may be cause his kids were with him. She talked to him slowly opening her lips so he can read them: "I love you!" and some other stuff she later forgot! She is not even sure if she spoke in English and if he understood what she was saying...it was so emotional that she cryed covering her face! Michael waved to her, turned back and when he looked again at her there we two other eyes also staring at her! It was Prince who was also waving to her! She screamed: "Prince I love you!" but then the car was going in to the garage and some bodyguard pushed her away. She said this was the greatest moment in her life! A moment she tryed to remember for always but she can't see it clearly in her mind now, may be cause if she can see it in her mind all the time like it was it will be too much emotion to handle and live with!....
After all this excitement we went to the front of the hotel and Michael showed up happy carrying his award while we were screaming: "Congratulations!". This night the light in Michaels room was on till late. We saw some figures moving there and we quess he was celebrating! A fan who met him in his room said he was very happy and exited about the award saying like a little child: "Look what I've got!"! What a cutie! We stayed till late at night but Michael didn't show up on the window any more so we went to our hotel very very cold, freezing and tired to get some sleep

The last day...
22 November
We went to the hotel at 10 o'clock knowing that Michael is sleeping till late especialy with the last night celebrations! The security said that Michael will not show up that day cause it was a "Family day" for him and he will spend it with his children. So the fans were going away to the front hoping to see him on his window. There was a moment around 14.30 when me and Kremi were the only once on the bariers of the garage and few other fans in their cars. We were talking with the security guard that we met early and at one point he said with low voice to me that Michael's car is going out of the garage! At first I didn't believe him but then I saw it next to me and tryed to get through the barriers to reach to it but the bodyguard asked me not to do that cause he maid have problems so being a good person I didn't and just run after the car but it was too late! The car didn't stop but Michael showed his hand out of the window and waved with a marker in his hand /guess he was signing something inside/. It was a great moment to meet him while there was no one around but may be he was in a harry! Later we found out that he went to some galery! When he came back there were more fans cause they came from the front of the hotel but Michaels car just went in quickly. We went to the front quessing he will not go out any more. He just showed at one time breafly with some boy and a girl and that was it. We were so heartbroken knowing that he will leave in 5 o'clock in the morning and just looking at the light of his room knowing we maid not see him again at least for few years! It was such a sad time that I stared to drink the wine that I took with me to warm me in those cold cold nights in Berlin! So we tryed to cope with the pain with some wine and cigaretes that a friend gave us! Michael showed up for last on his window at around 22.30 and made us happy again! Most of the fans went to their hotels to sleep and to come later in the morning but we decided to spend the last night outside Michaels hotel! It was soooo cold and we were sooo exhausted but longing to be as close to him as possible....
When it became too late we were so cold and tired and we decided to go in the garage of the hotel. There were also few other girls from Luthania that we met early. They were so sweet and we talked with them while freezing. At some time we tryed to go inside the garage and try to hide under Michael' car but they catched us and threw us out. It was so cold and we were so tired we felt like gosts! Ha ha! Around 4 o'clock in the morning we got nervous! Michael was suppose to leave the hotel at 5. More fans came and the police came. They put barriers and put us all behind them. Michaels car went out at around 5 and it had dark curtains on the windows, probably Michaels children were sleeping inside /little angels....I love them so much/! We had to fight with the police to get close to the car. We saw Michaels hand on the window waving to us. When we got close the car we started kissing the windows where we thought Michael is! The car went on and while it was far we saw Michel waving with his hand out of the window and holding some paper. This was the last we saw from him! We didn't follow him to the airport cause we knew we will miss him!
